Credit Union Day Greetings From Our President

To our valued members, employees, and Management, members of the Board of Directors and Committees, and all our Stakeholders.

Today, we join credit unions around the world in celebrating International Credit Union Day—a day dedicated to recognizing the important role that credit unions play in the lives of individuals, families, businesses and communities.

International Credit Union Day is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity for us to reflect on who we are, what we stand for, and the difference we can make when we work together.

The credit union movement was built on a simple but powerful principle: people helping people. Unlike institutions driven primarily by profit, credit unions exist to serve their members. Our members are not simply customers; they are owners, and their interests must remain at the heart of everything we do.

Our strength comes from the collective contributions, participation and commitment of our membership. Every savings deposit, every responsible loan, every investment and every act of participation contributes to the strength and sustainability of our credit union.

As we celebrate today under the global theme “Cooperative Finance, a Steady Signal in a Noisy World”, we must also acknowledge that the financial environment in which we operate continues to present challenges. Rising costs, changing economic conditions, increased competition, technological developments and changing member expectations require credit unions to remain resilient, innovative and responsive.

These challenges remind us that we cannot remain comfortable with the way things have always been done.

We must continue to strengthen our governance, improve our systems and services, embrace technology, manage risk prudently and ensure that our financial decisions are sound and sustainable.

At the same time, we must never lose sight of our cooperative values.

People must remain at the centre of our decisions.

Our members entrust us with their savings, their financial aspirations and, in many instances, their hopes for a better future. That trust carries a tremendous responsibility.

We must therefore continue to build a credit union that is financially strong, professionally managed, accountable and worthy of the confidence that our members place in us.

To our members, I say thank you.

Thank you for your loyalty, your patience and your continued confidence in this institution. Your membership is the foundation upon which our credit union has been built.

To our employees and Management  thank you for your dedication and service. You are the face of the credit union and play a critical role in delivering the quality of service that our members deserve.

To our Directors and Committee members, thank you for giving of your time, experience and commitment to the cooperative movement. Good governance requires dedication, integrity and a willingness to put the interests of the membership first.

To our Stakeholders, thank you for your unwavering support and commitment.

As we look to the future, our objective must be clear: to build a stronger, more resilient and more sustainable credit union for the generations that will follow.

This requires all of us to play our part.

Members must continue to participate and make informed financial decisions. Employees must continue to serve with professionalism and integrity. The Board and committees must provide effective oversight and strategic direction. Management must execute effectively and ensure that the institution remains operationally and financially sound.

Most importantly, we must continue to work together.

The cooperative model has endured because it is based on a fundamental truth: we are stronger together than we are apart.

On this International Credit Union Day, let us therefore renew our commitment to the principles upon which this movement was founded—cooperation, responsibility, solidarity, service and financial empowerment.

Let us celebrate not only what we have achieved, but also what we can accomplish together.

Our journey forward may not always be easy, but with sound governance, responsible leadership, committed employees and an engaged membership, we can face the future with confidence.

Let us continue to build—not only a stronger credit union, but a stronger membership and a stronger community.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Management, I extend sincere appreciation to every member of our credit union family.

Happy International Credit Union Day!

May we continue to live the cooperative principle of people helping people, and may our collective efforts create opportunities, strengthen families and improve lives for many years to come.

Thank you, and may God continue to bless our credit union, our members, our employees and our nation.

Happy International Credit Union Day
