Re: Guidelines Governing the Operations during the Period of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

Dear Valued Members,

In an effort to minimize the Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, Works Credit Union is pro-actively taking measures to preserve the safety and health of both members and employees. While you can expect changes to our current business and member management processes as the situation develops, you can be assured that we will take every precaution to ensure that your service levels are not unduly disrupted.

We take this opportunity to advise you of the following changes to our operations: -

The Loans Department will adjust their interview process for Character/General Loan Applications as follows:

  • Requests can also be submitted via our website or our Facebook Page.
  • A Loan Officer will be assigned to contact you and conduct a preliminary interview to ascertain the nature of your application and advise of the relevant documents to be submitted.
  • Requested documents must be dropped off to the respective branch in an envelope addressed to your Loan Officer.
  • Your Loan Officer will complete processing your application and will contact you with further information/updates as necessary.

Share Loans will remain a walk-in facility but will be subject to the control measures indicated in the next paragraph.

Social Distancing Protocols as established by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago will be implemented effective immediately at all branches. Therefore, at any given time, only a limited number of persons will be allowed in any branch at any point during the day - this number will vary at each branch.

Collection of Loan Cheques will continue to be facilitated at all branches; however, we encourage members to request a  Direct Deposit to their preferred banking account or transfer of funds to your WCU VISA Debit Card  where possible. Such requests can be sent via email to admin@workscu.com . If you have not yet signed up for our VISA Debit Card or our free online E-Branch Service , now will be a good time to do so.

Over-the-Counter Transactions (Cash Deposits, withdrawals, etc) will continue to be facilitated where none of the above-mentioned services is applicable.

Remember to be cautious, practical and adhere to recommended health/safety guidelines. Any further updates will be communicated to you.

Thank you for your co-operation.
